About Liam Burke Liam Burke is currently carrying out a research PhD studying the adaptation of comics to film in the Huston School of Film & Digital Media at the National University of Galway in Ireland. He has worked at numerous Irish film festivals as well as the Irish Film & Television Academy. His interest in Superhero Movies began at age four, when after watching Superman, he safety-pinned a red towel to his pyjamas to imitate the Man of Steel. He has since given up emulating Superheroes to write about them. Liam lives in Galway, Ireland and Superhero Movies is his first book for Pocket Essentials.
